Chloe Briggs - 2023 - ????

Undergraduate Thesis Honors Student

Fall 2025 - Atley 2019. Kaelie 2021. Anna 2022. All fantastic additions to the lab, all breadsticks. And so, with the arrival of 2023 came the next breadstick in the Langlais Lab Lineage, Chloe Briggs from San Diego! Chloe-Jo comes from a medical upbringing, with Dad being a dentist and Mom being an optometrist. So, her vision is excellent and she has no cavities. Chloe joined the lab as a freshman and was excellent and showing up JUST ENOUGH to convince me she was going to make the cut. Her sophmore year saw a significant uptick in lab participation, and now, in her junior year, Chloe is here A LOT. Chloe has keyed me in on why she enjoys the lab so much. According to Chloe, class is easy to improve in, she said all she has to do is study more. With the lab though, Chloe has found it very difficult to succeed consistently in experimentation. It is that challenge that Chloe appreciates. Chloe is just about to turn the corner on the bench which is great because we here in the Langlais Lab may have finally discovered something thanks to all of this undergrad progress! Outside of the lab, Chloe has a keen interest in pasta for some reason, loves chemistry (wtf?) and apparently is really good at pickleball. Not only do I look forward to another solid three semesters of Chloe lab results, I am also excited to crush Chloe in pickleball at the 2025 Langlais Lab Christmas Party when we descend upon Corbett's Pickleball Palace and I beat her 21-ZERO. Welcome Chloe!
